TCT – Two-wheeled Confidence Training

The Purpose

TCT is a low speed program designed to get the best from you and your bike.
TCT is all about MACHINE CONTROL and the confidence that can be obtained from understanding how you interact with your bike, what it needs and does not need.

TCT is performed in a car park or similar, low speed, low risk, low ego environment in which all riders can excel without pressure.
TCT will benefit all riders experienced or not. It is particularly aimed at riders who want to get some advanced training but have no desire to go on a track, but equally new riders who want to continue to learn after passing their test can get huge benefits from this course.

The Layout And Environment

The layout is a large oval made up of small cones. The oval is big enough for you to ride at a suitable speed to recognize the benefits from each module we cover without needing to scare yourself! It is neither intimidating or too slow either.
There are never more than two riders circulating at any given time ensuring low risk and a high level of observation from the instructors.

The Format

The classroom sessions focus on practical techniques, several sessions include hands on involvement from the students, and all of the sessions present important skills in a simple, understandable format. Once the information has been presented the students then get the chance to apply what they have learned.

The instructors watch each rider from either inside or outside the oval. They make sure each student can apply what they learned in the classroom session, and give advise where needed. This format allows all of the students to improve lap by lap.

Each technique is practiced on both left and right hand corners so if you have a weak side we will find it!

Purpose of Drill

Knowing what to look at and when

Key Points
